The widget below will tell you how far away the house/address you are looking at is from usual places, such as certain stores. The format for entering an address is "1234 Address Rd. City, State." Restaurants, Coffee, Groceries, Shopping, Schools, Parks, Books, Bars, Entertainment and Banking is calculated. Click the arrows after you get your results for a menu that displays all of the stores within the area. You can then click anything on that menu for information about the store and to see where it is located on Google maps. Street, satellite and a regular map are available as viewing options. In street view, you can actually see the house you are looking at like you are actually looking at it from the street, but just make sure it matches up with the house you want.
